Save as New to Archives

Save a new document to the archives.

  • Save a document already archived.
  • Save an unarchived file.

When certain accessory programs are enabled, an assembly model can be saved as a new document so that all link-type parts of the assembly and subassemblies are also saved as new documents in the active project. Parts in subassemblies and local parts will not be saved.

When you are saving a model as a new document, close model drawings before saving.

  1. Select > Save As New.
  2. Define the data of the new document in the dialog box.
    • Enter a name for the document in the Label field.
    • Fill in the archives data of the document by clicking Arc. Data.
    • Select To Project when creating a document for a specific project. Activate an existing project by clicking the Select button, or create a new project by clicking the New button.
