Drawing-Specific Parameters

When you open a drawing in the working window, the layers that were active when the drawing was saved will become active. The original element properties used in the drawing are also retained.

When you import a drawing in Vertex in other file format, the original layers, line types and colors of the drawing will remain. You can add elements to the drawing and then export the file. The parameters of the added elements are also saved in the file.

When you save a drawing, information about the drawing settings used in the drawing, drawing element properties, and element visibility are also saved.

Parameter data saved in a drawing file includes the following:

• Layers
• Layer groups
• Fonts
• Line Width
• Line type and style
• Hatch Type
• Resolution
• Grid
• Part number circle size
• Dimension arrow size
• Dimension line width, etc.
