Refresh a Model

Update the working window view after the changes. The software expresses the refreshing requirements by illustrating the changed models in the structure tree. For example the key F5 searches the assemblies and parts that need updating, and illustrates them in the feature tree. You can change the function's settings yourself.

In the sketching mode, geometric constraints will be refreshed, and the lines redrawn. At the same time is checked that the constraints determined for the elements in the sketch are met. In addition, new boundaries will be calculated for the sketch so that all the elements in the sketch are drawn in the sketching window.

When the model window is active, the lines of the model will be redrawn. The changes made to the sketch and feature of the part will be refreshed and new boundaries will be calculated for the model, which will result in the entire model being displayed in the working window.

When the model is an assembly, the geometric constraints on the main level updated, and edited parts updated to the assembly. At the same time is checked that the constraints determined for the elements of main-level parts are met.

Refresh the model as follows:

  1. Do either of the following:
    • On the tab, in the View group, select Refresh.
    • Press the F5 key.
  2. Select a target to be updated.
  • Refresh all the branches in the feature tree by selecting the symbol of the main assembly or the model's working window. Select the function Update all from the context-sensitive menu.
  • Select a branch, that has several parts to be updated under it. Select the function Update from the context-sensitive menu.
  • Select a part or a subassembly. Select the function Update from the context-sensitive menu.
Note:
  • If you refresh a part in the subassembly, all the other parts in the subassembly are refreshed as well.
  • The software refreshes only a single subassembly branch as follows: Open the subassembly or edit it, and update that spesific part / assembly in it's own working window.
