File System

Since new installations of Vertex G4 13 version have been used Custom File System. This makes it possible to implement new databases and display files automatically during updates.

The main folders of the file system are:

• user - User's home directory. For example, the setup file Setup is saved in the folder, in which you can edit the properties of the program.

• System - The databases, displays and related applications found in the System are used as a default. Alongside updates, all of the new properties and data management features are activated automatically.
• Shared - Almost all databases are in the Shared folder, since they form part of the user's data management. All documents created during the using of the program will be saved in the Shared folder.

  Only a few system databases are in the System folder, the thread hole tables of the library features, for example.

• Custom - Own modifications can be saved in the Custom folder. Structure of the folder is equal to System folder. For example, the format file of the archives card modified internal use, is saved in the Custom/forms folder. If there is a file with the same name in the System and Custom folders, the program uses the file found in the Custom folder.
