Export a Model To Another Application

You can export a Vertex model as a file, for example in SAT format, so that the file can be opened in the selected application software in SAT format.

  1. Open the model you want to export to another application.
  2. Select > Export > Export to Application.
  3. Select one of the following applications from the list:
    • FEMAP 7
    • FEMAP 8
    • DesignSpace
    • MasterCam
    • SurfCAM
  4. If you are exporting a model for the first time to the application, select the executable program file of the application from the folder structure.

    After the executable file of the application has been defined, the Vertex model opens in another file format in the application. Starting up the application software takes some time.

Note:
  • If you select Cancel instead of an application in the list, the Vertex database view opens, in which the settings of external programs have been defined. In the Directory column, you can define the executable file of the application using the Select button.
