Attach a Line or Text to a Drawing Projection

General

  • In some cases, you want to complete the projection of a model drawing by adding lines or texts to it. These elements can go to the wrong projection if the projections overlap.
  • Lines may remain outside the projection if they have been added in such a way that the end point of the line is not located in the projection area.
  • If a line is drawn so that it begins and/or ends in the projection area of the drawing, it is automatically connected to the projection and moves along with the projection if the projection is dragged to a new location in the drawing.
  • A line connected to another projection can be tied to a new projection. Lines created from a 3D model cannot be tied to another projection.
  • You see the lines and text connected to the projection when you move the cursor over the projection border line or select a projection. In this case, all lines generated from the model, as well as lines and texts connected to the projection, are highlighted with color.
  • You can also attach a text added to the drawing to the projection.
