Stretch Lines

You can stretch lines and arcs in a limited area in a drawing. You can select the elements to be stretched with a rectangle. The lines will be elongated or shrunk. Define the stretching in relation to a reference point.

  1. Select DrawingDrafting | Line Tools | Stretch.
  2. Click the lower left corner.
  3. Click the upper right corner.
  4. If necessary, remove an element from the selection.
  5. Select Confirm.
  6. Select the reference point in relation to which you will define the offset.
  7. Select a new location for the reference point.
Note:
  • You can also stretch an individual element by moving the end point of the element by the handle.
  • If the 2D Constraint Manager is enabled, a dimension constraint may prevent stretching. You may temporarily remove the dimension constraint for stretching. Clear the Drives geometry checkbox in the dimension properties.
