Selecting Location and Direction in IFC Import/Export

IFC import

When opening an IFC file, a dialog box opens, from which you can select location-related settings:

1. The origin to the same point as in the IFC file.
2. Locates to a point of the IFC file.
   • By default, the minimum point of the extreme limits of the IFC model in the xy direction is searched for as a freely editable point.
3. Rotate to north direction.
   • The default direction is the north direction written in the IFC file.
   • The direction can be rotated by entering the angle of rotation.

IFC export

There are two ways to add coordinates for the IFC file:

1. From the context-sensitive Other Functions Geographical coordinates.
2. In the export dialog box, select a point of the IFC file using the origin of the model and give the direction.
