Create a New Item at the Same Time With a New Model

General

This instruction describes the case where you create an item at the same time as creating a new document.
You can also create an item when you have first created a part or assembly model.
- Add Item Data to a Part

Create a new document and an item for it

Select File > New.
- The program opens the dialog box New Document.
Select the document type by clicking an icon.
- Part.
- Assembly.
- Drawing.
Enter or search for a label for the document.
- Select the function Get, if automatic consecutive numbering of documents is activated in the program.

Enter the document archive data by selecting the function Archive Data.
- The program opens the dialog box Archive Data.
Select the function Item Data.
- The function opens the dialog box Item Data, where the description1 field has been copied from the archive data and the model label has been completed. In this dialog box, it is possible to enter only the item data of the document, but not the raw material data of the submodel, for example.

- Fill in the item data.
- Click OK to exit the item data and return to the New Document dialog box.
If necessary, select the option To Project for the document.
- Select an existing project by clicking Select.
- Create a new project by clicking New.
Click OK to create the document and item.
