Machine Assembly Parts
General
- Assembly parts can be machined with machining features of other parts or components.
- Several parts with machining features can be added to the same assembly.
- Note that the context-sensitive function
- The machined parts must be saved separately.
- Select the the machined part - Machining Features - Save Machined as New.
does not machine the original link parts. - If you want the machining features to machine the original link parts, use the function Boolean.
Model the part that is a machining tool
- Model a New Assembly Machining Tool
- The part can also include regular geometry and machining geometry functioning as a tool.
Add a Machining Feature to an Assembly
- The machining feature must be added to the assembly either as a part from the model archive or as a component from the library.

Execute the machining in the assembly
Save a Machined Part
- The machined part is saved in the selected folder. Note that it is not saved in the model archive.
- Save a Machined Part as a File
