The presentation method of a floor or a ceiling in the model can be either layers expanded or a packed basic volume. You can change the presentation method from expanded to layers to a packed basic volume as follows:

Select the horizontal structure.
Do either of the following:
- Select Plane Structure | Volume | Pack.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Pack Layers.

Note:

You can select the layers belonging to the basic volume by editing the properties of the structure - see Edit the Properties of a Floor or Ceiling.
By default, floors and ceilings are added with layers expanded. If you wish to add floors and ceilings a packed basic volumes, change the value of the keyword layer_auto_unpack to 0 in the system settings:
