Fix a Height Level to Its Position

You can define geometric constraints between height levels, for example a Distance constraint. When you begin adding constraints, you must first select a height level you wish to remain in place. Add the Fixed Position constraint for this level. When you solve the constraints, the fixed height level will remain in place, and the level connected to it with the Distance constraint will move.

Before you can add constraints to height levels, you must display them in the model.

1. Activate the model window.
2. Select a height level.
3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
4. Select Constraints. The Constraints of Object dialog box opens.
5. Select the Position fixed checkbox.
6. Confirm by clicking OK.
