Wrapped Grid
SHADER TYPE: Wrapped Grid
Wrapped Grid is a transparency type that can be used to represent a grid-type surface. The holes in the grid are transparent, and the transparency of the grid itself can be adjusted.
Parameter: | Explanation: | Default value: | Possible values and comments: |
Scale | Scale Factor | 1 | |
Width | Proportional square width | 0.8
Height | Proportional square height | 0.8
Grid Size | Thickness of the grid “walls” | 0.2
Transparency | Transparency of the grid | 0 | 0 - 1, with 0 being completely opaque |
Scale: 1 Width: 0.8 Height: 0.8 Grid Size: 0.2 Transparency: 0 |
Scale: 60 Width: 0.8 Height: 0.8 Grid Size: 0.2 Transparency: 0 |
Scale: 60 Width: 1.6 Height: 0.8 Grid Size: 0.2 Transparency: 0 |
Scale: 60 Width: 0.8 Height: 1.6 Grid Size: 0.2 Transparency: 0 |
Scale: 60 Width: 0.8 Height: 1.6 Grid Size: 0.4 Transparency: 0 |
Scale: 60 Width: 0.8 Height: 1.6 Grid Size: 0.4 Transparency: 0.5 |
The Wrapped Grid shader can be used, for example, when emulating a translucent curtain and its appearance against different surfaces and light.
Note:
- The parameter values in the example are: Scale 0.0002, Width 0.022, Height 0.022 Grid Size 0.04 and Transparency 0.
- To be visible in visualization, the transparency features require at least the Full rendering method. The rendering method is selected from the model window's Shading settings.
