Hatch Setup

The default properties of various hatches in 2D drawings are defined in the system settings (Geometry drawing properties, GEOMPROP keyword group).

  1. Select >  Preferences >  Edit.
  2. If necessary, clear the Administrator's View checkbox.
  3. Select Geometry drawing properties/Hatch setup.
  4. Select the hatch from the Name of the hatch set list.
  5. Edit the default values of the properties:
    • Hatch type - For example, Cross hatch, Mesh, Fill, etc.
    • Drawing layer - The hatch will be added on the selected layer.
    • Line width - The line width can be seen in a printed drawing.
    • Scale - The effect depends on the drawing scale. The property can be either absolute or relative:
      • A positive value means an absolute (fixed) scale.
      • A negative value means a relative scale.

    • Angle - The Angle property defines the deflection angle of the hatch elements.

    • Color - Select a default color from a palette by clicking the Select color button.

  6. Confirm by clicking OK.
  7. Restart Vertex.
Note:
  • If Administrator's View is selected, the keyword is line.
  • The function >  Preferences >  Edit is only available if you are the system administrator.
