Machining List

Log NC Interface

If the Log NC Interface add-on option is available to you, you can create a machining list of log walls or single logs. You can create a machining list when a wall has a label and machinings have been added to the wall. If you wish to create a machining list of one or more log walls, use the function in the building floor plan. If you wish to select single logs for creating the machining list, use the function in the log work drawing.

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Machining list of log walls
      1. Select a log wall with a label. Select several walls with the Ctrl key pressed down.
      2. Select Log Wall | Machining List.
    • Machining list of single logs
      1. Open the log work drawing.
      2. Do either of the following:
        • Select Log Wall Layout | Machinings | Machining List.
        • Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Machining List.
      3. Select the logs. Select several logs with the Ctrl key pressed down or by using area selection.
  2. Select Confirm.

The program will collect the machinings in a temporary database. If there are several exactly identical machinings at the same location, they will be opened for viewing in the Double Machinings database view. You can remove extra machinings by deleting the database rows one by one. Press Shift+Delete on each row. Close the database view by clicking OK. The machinings remain unchanged in the building model and in the log work drawing.

You can view the final machining list in the Machinings database view. Close the database view by clicking OK. The machining list is saved by default in the building folder under the name mach.txt.

The list is opened for editing in the word processor defined in the settings.

Note:
  • You can update the automatically added machinings to the log work drawing by using the Update a Log Face Drawing function.
  • You can also add individual machinings by using the Add a Machining function.
  • The precision of the parameters to be collected to the machining list can be defined in the setup file LOGMACH with the keyword mach_list_accuracy. The value of the keyword can be 0, 1 or 2. The figure determines the number of decimals of the parameter to be added on the list. The LOGMACH file is located in the machining library, for example ../custom/complibs/logmach_custom.
  • You can filter the machinings to be collected on the machining list. The machining list filtering is defined with a keyword in the LOGHOUSE setup file. Example: mach_list_filter= "where CODE = PROF" filters away all the rows where the CODE field has the value PROF, for example log columns.
  • Overlapping machining macros with different machining codes are not collected in the Double Machinings database view.
  • When you save a log work drawing, the program will automatically check whether there are overlapping machining macros in the log work drawing. If fully overlapping macros are found, you will receive the following error message: 'Duplicate macros found. Use interference checking to locate duplicates.' You can locate the overlapping macro and delete it by selecting the Check Building Component Interference function.
