Saving a Project-Specific Group Menu to a Drawing

Use a project-specific menu drawing when you wish to add precisely similar geometry to the drawings of the same project.

For example, you can save a wall socket group to the menu drawing.

Creating a Project-Specific Group Menu

1. Open the project in which you wish to use a project-specific group menu.

   Opening a Project

2. Select File> New> Drawing File from the menu bar.
3. In a drawing, draw a geometry which you wish to create a group.
4. Define a group from the geometry.

   You can add one or more groups to the same drawing.

5. Select File> Save from the menu bar.
6. Save the drawing in the folder of the active project using the name p_groups.

   The label of the active project is displayed as the folder in the Save in: field of the Save As dialog box. Compare the label to the label displayed in the Vertex title bar. These must be the same.

7. Click Save.
8. Close the drawing which you created the group menu.
