Export a Project

Make a VXZ file from a project and it's documents.

1. On the tab, in the Projects group, select Export Project.
2. Fill in the search criteria and select a project.
3. Select OK.

Note

• This function can be used to compress the archives data of the project selected from the software's project archive, drawing files and sheet files of the project, and their archives data, all into one VXZ transfer file with the Zip program.
• Actually the transfer file is a ZIP file, but with vxz suffix its easier to recognize a Vertex project among the all ZIP files. You can edit the VXZ file as other ZIP files.
• Project directories or Vertex files in them should not be transferred from one Vertex system to another by Dragging and Dropping them in the Windows Explorer. The reason for this is that the archive data and documents are managed using Vertex databases, and information about the transfer is lost using this method.
