New Project
- Select either of the following:
- Select Vertex, and New Project.
- Select tab, Projects group, New Project.
- Fill in the data in New Project dialog box.
- Fill in or select the data of the new project in the dialog box.
- Click the Generate button.
- The New Project ID dialog box opens. Select New Number from series and click OK.
- Enter the name for the project. Name a project
- Select the saving location. For example, SHARED or VERTEX.
- Select OK.
Note
- You can type the project label directly into Project name field.
- If you use the New Number from series function, you can define the format of series by selecting Series Info. Specify the Prefix, Number and Postfix used in the project label.
Create a new project and copy the data of the old project into the new one
- Create a new project according to instructions above.
- Fill in or select the data of the new project in the dialog box.
- Click the Generate button, select New Number from series and OK.
- Enter the name for the project. Name a project
- Select the saving location. For example, SHARED or VERTEX.
- If you use an old project as base:
- Click Browse and select the project to be copied.
- Select from recently opened projects by clicking the field.
- Select OK.
Note
- You can create a new project when the workspace is empty. The project will then be active (default) when creating a new document.
- The drawing archive of a project, that is created by copying, is always specific to that project. The drawings are copied with the same drawing numbers as in the original project.
- You can fill in the data of the active project by selecting Data.
