Reference Drawing Properties

Change the visibility of the reference drawing in the drawing. The properties of all reference drawings added to the drawing are displayed in a dialog box, the functions of which you can use to modify the properties.

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Select Drawing | Tools | Reference Drawings > Properties.
    • Drawing tree - Select Reference Drawings, and select the context-sensitive Properties.
  2. Select properties in the Read Reference drawing dialog box.
    • Set the reference drawing either visible, or not visible.
    • Click the Description field on the desired row, and enter a new Description text for the reference drawing.
    • Click the Layer field on the desired row, and select another layer from the list for the reference drawing.
  3. Select OK.

Visibility
You can toggle the visibility of a reference drawing by clicking its checkbox in the first column of the dialog box.

If you change the visibility of a reference drawing, it will be immediately updated in the drawing.
Description
You can edit the description of a reference drawing by clicking the Description column.
Reference Drawing
If you click the Reference Drawing column on a certain row, the Description and Layer fields of that row become active, allowing you to edit their contents.
Layer
You can select the layer on which you wish to place the reference drawing from a list.
If you place the reference drawing on layer which has not been set to be visible in the drawing, this function will not automatically set the selected layer as visible.
