Create Component

Create a Drawing Specific Component. It is a macro, formed by elements selected from the drawing and the dimension table.

You can control the geometry of a drawing specific component by using the dimension table. When you save the drawing, the drawing specific component is retained in the drawing.

Before forming a drawing specific component from the elements, add all necessary elements and dimension constraint variable definitions to the geometry.

1. On the tab, in the Symbols group, select Create Component.
2.  Select elements or a group in the drawing.
3. Select Confirm.

Select the elements and then select the context-sensitive function Create Component.
