Change a Part in an Assembly

Change in assembly:

Changing a part and item opens the browser for the class or folder from which the part to be changed originates.

You can also select a new part from any new location, or based on some other classification.

Geometric constraints are retained if possible. The elements of the part to be replaced have the same code (face, line, point) as the new part.

Change a part as follows:

Select in the assembly:
- Part
- Subassembly
- Library component
- First component of a pattern
Select the context-sensitive function Change.
Define the following in the Change Part dialog box:
New
- Click Browse, and select Part in the browser.
  You can also change the subassembly for the main assembly itself.
- Enter the label of the new part/assembly in the field.
- Select Configuration.
Effect on similar parts
- Change This – The selected part/component only.
- Change All Similar – Parts.
Click OK.
