You can specify the dimensions to be added to a projection with the automatic dimensioning settings. You can edit the automatic dimensioning settings from a dialog box.
The horizontal direction is the direction of the X axis.
The vertical direction is the direction of the Y axis.
- Main Dimensions
- Horizontal/vertical
- Dimensioning divides the projection dimension points into two equal parts (top and bottom / left and right). The longest possible dimension is added on both sides.
- Holes
- Horizontal/vertical
- Dimensioning divides the projection dimension points into two equal parts (top and bottom). The locations of the center points of round holes are dimensioned on both sides on a common dimension line (including the first instance of a feature pattern and excluding the rest of the instances).
- Diameters
- The diameters of round holes that do not belong to feature patterns are dimensioned. Thread features are marked.
- Bendlines
- Horizontal/vertical
- Dimensioning divides the projection dimension points into two equal parts (top and bottom / left and right). The bendline locations are dimensioned on both sides on a common dimension line.
- Edge Shape
- Horizontal/vertical
- Dimensioning divides the projection dimension points into two equal parts (top and bottom / left and right). The dimensions of the edge polyline are added on both sides if they are not too far from the dimension line.
- Patterns
- The following work only for hole patterns created with the Feature Pattern function.
- In practice, identification of a pattern from 2D geometry will succeed only in rare special cases, especially when there are several patterns.
- Feature patterns – horizontal/vertical
- Dimensioning divides the projection dimension points into two equal parts (top and bottom / left and right). The locations of the center points of round holes are dimensioned on both sides on a common dimension line (including the first instance of a feature pattern and excluding the rest of the instances).
- Automatic dimensioning also takes deleted instances into consideration.
- Feature patterns – diameters
- Dimension the diameters of round holes created with the Feature Pattern function next to the first instance – for example, D10 x8 – separately for each pattern. Thread features are marked.

- Profile codes
- The profile information is positioned parallel to the profile above it in the correct angle. The positioning happens automatically to the middle of the longest visible part of a profile line and refreshes when the profile structure is modified in 3d mode.
- You can edit the content of the profile information text in .
Note:
- The setting applies to the system and it affects profile information texts in an old drawing, also, when the drawing is refreshed.
- If only the profile’s cross section is visible, its data is not entered in the projection.
