Add a Profile

Do either of the following:

• Add a profile by selecting a cross section from the feature library.
• Add a profile of the same kind that already exists in the model.

Select a Cross Section From a Library

1. Select one of the following:
   • On the tab, in the Add group, select Add Profile. (G4)
   • On the tab, in the Steel Structures group, select Add Profile. (G4 Plant)
2. Select the profile cross section from the search results, and select the context-sensitive function Select.

   Browse - Archives

3. Select the table ID determining the profile size from the list.
4. Add item data to an assembly feature. Adding Item Data
5. Continue modeling the feature.

Add the Same Kind of Profile

A profile added using this function will form an independent part.

1. Select a part added as a profile from the assembly.
2. Select the context-sensitive function Add> Same Profile.
3. Select a position for the profile. The cross section and dimension table data of the profile are the same. However, the length of the profile will be determined by the position you selected for it.
