Load a Studio
Rendering
A studio is a complete lighting arrangement formed by lights, the environment, background and foreground. Studios that you have saved yourself or that have been included in the software delivery can be loaded into a model.
- Activate the 3D model.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Rendering | Lights | Load Studio.
The name of the current studio is shown on the title bar of the selection window. If the lighting arrangement of the model does not match any of the studios in the library, the title bar says: Not in library.
- Select a studio from the list. The software delivery contains the following studios:
- CLASSIC - A simple lighting environment for quick rendering. Corresponds to the default lighting of version 2013 (19.0) and older versions. Sharp shadows, fast render time.
- DEFAULT - A default lighting environment that produces realistic-looking images without adjustments. Based on environment lighting and a preset environment image. Light gray neutral background. Soft shadows. Depending on the rendering materials used, the render time is about 15-20 times that of the CLASSIC studio.
- SUNNY_QUALITY - High-quality and natural lighting environment of a sunny afternoon. The render time is roughly ten times longer than with the SUNNY_DEFAULT studio. The studio uses a background image which can be changed, if necessary.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
- Render the model by selecting Rendering | Render Style | Rendered.
Note: If you have added and edited the lights, background and foreground of a model manually, loading a studio will undo any changes you have made. You can save a lighting environment you have created as a studio by using the function Save a Studio.
