Initial Numbers for Document Labels

When the automatic numbering of the archive documents is in use, the initial number can be set. Automatic numbering always increases the document number by one (default value). For example, If the initial number is 10000, the first new document is number 10001, etc.

Initial number is a numeric field accepting only numbers, not letters. The first number must also be bigger than 0. For example, the number 001 would not be accepted, but the number 100 would.

You can add a letter in front of the start number.

If necessary, edit the initial number of the drawing archive (PIC) and/or the model archive (MOD). The software prevents you from using a reserved archive number.

  1. On the tab, in the Databases group, click Application.
  2. Select Document numbers.
  3. Enter the number where numbering begins.

    For example, MOD (model) Lm30000.

    For example, PIC (self-drawn 2D drawing) Lp6000.

  4. Click OK.

The automatic numbering requires accessory program.
