Sort Parts or Subassemblies

By default, the parts and subassemblies are listed in the order they were added. You can reorder the assembly tree manually or change the settings of the automatic sort.

You can drag a part or subassembly, or several by holding down the CTRL key, to a desired position. The dragged objects will end up next to the target, on the side of the drag's direction. Dragging to an empty spot will move the objects to the bottom of the list.

You can change the automatic sort. Move the cursor over the main assembly label in the assembly and select the context-sensitive function TreeSort tree. You can reorder the criteria by dragging and changing the sort direction. Newly added parts and subassemblies are sorted automatically according to the criteria. The automatic sort is disabled if the order of the assembly tree is changed manually. You can re-enable the automatic sort by selecting the context-sensitive function TreeSort tree and selecting OK.
Note: The criteria of the automatic sort are computer specific (not model specific).
