Define the Data Displayed in the Assembly Tree

General

  • By default, the assembly tree displays only the part label. If the label is followed by .L, the part is a link part, i.e. an independent file can be found for it either in the archive or in the library.
  • If necessary, other information can also be presented in the tree, such as the description and the number and name of the configuration.

Define what information about models (part, component, assembly) is displayed in the assembly tree as follows:

  1. Open the dialog box Data Displayed in the Tree
    • Move the cursor over the main assembly label in the assembly tree and select the context-sensitive function TreeTree Data.
    • Or select File > User Preferences > Assembly Tree Data.

      • Click the first row, press the Shift key and click on another row if you want to select all rows between the selected rows.
  3. Remove the fields displayed in the tree as follows
    • Double-click the field in the right column.
    • Or select a row or rows and the context-sensitive function Delete.
      • Press the Ctrl key to select several rows.
      • Click the first row, press the Shift key and click on another row if you want to select all rows between the selected rows.
  4. Arrange the selected fields in the order you want.
