Window and Door Sheets
Architectural
Depending on the features of your software, you can create window and door sheets in two ways:
- Window and door sheets to be created into a local project archive
At the same time, you can add an opening list to a floor plan. The sheets present the opening drawing, total number, dimensions, handedness and accessories. This function is available in the Vertex BD Architectural and Pro products. The same function can be used to delete sheets and labels from the floor plan.
- Window and door sheets to be exported into the DesignStream system
At the same time, the material data of the building is transferred into the system in the component list. The sheets only present the geometry of the opening. The other data is added in the DesignStream system. This function is available in the Vertex BD Architectural and Pro products that have the DesignStream Interface add-on feature. The DesignStream system must have the Quantity Surveying add-on feature enabled. This function is available if you are logged in to the DesignStream system. When you are logged out, the above mentioned function for creating the sheets into the local project archive is available. You must log out of the system, if you wish to delete sheet labels from the floor plan.
Both functions will collect windows and doors from every drawing-model pair of the building, and add sheet labels for them to the floor plan on a specific layer. The labels vary in shape.
The viewing direction of the openings, the numbering system and the label properties are defined in a setup file, see Window and Door Sheet Settings.
By default, the sheet labels are added to the layer 33 Opening Sheet Labels. The actual opening labels are on the layer 25 Opening Labels.
Note
- Identical openings, one of which is mirrored and one is not, receive different labels when you create the opening sheets. The exception to this is an opening that has been defined to be symmetrical. By default, all openings are asymmetrical. You can set an opening to be symmetrical by adding the additional parameter ASYM=0 to its library data. See Editing Window or Door Library.
- The same kinds of openings with different additional properties receive different labels when you create the opening sheets.
- By default, the program collects all the openings of the selected type from each drawing-model pair of the building. However, the window or door library may contain openings for which you do not wish to create the sheets. Add an additional parameter OPLIST= 0 for these openings in the library. See Editing Window or Door Library.
- If you move the opening sheet labels, their position remains unchanged, even if the sheet or schedules are recreated. If you want the labels to get their original position, delete the labels, and add them again.
