Open a Sub Project for Editing
Sub Projects
You cannot edit a sub project in the main project, but you need to open it for editing using a separate function. Open a sub project for editing as follows:
- Select the sub project to be edited.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Sub Project | Open.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Open Sub Project for Editing.
- If the sub project is in the local archive, you can select the editing method and, if necessary, copy the sub project and enter a new id for it. Select the editing method in the dialog box.
Open a Sub Project for Editing
If the sub project is in the DesignStream system, it opens for editing without selecting the editing method.
The program will close and save the active project and open the sub project.
- Select the drawing-model pair to be edited from a button menu.
- Make the changes.
- Save the sub project project by selecting > Save Project.
- Return the changes by using the function Close an Edited Sub Project.
Note: You cannot close the sub project or open other projects before you have returned the edited sub project using the function Close an Edited Sub Project.
