Hiding the Geometry Behind or Inside a Model

Hiding the geometry behind or inside a model lightens the model.

Hiding geometry behind the model

You can use this function to hide the volumes (parts) that are not visible from the viewing direction.

  1. Set the model into the desired projection.
  2. Select View | Limiting | Hide Behind.

Hiding geometry inside the model

You can use this function to hide geometry from a model when the model is viewed from several directions, i.e. as many as 10-20 directions. Geometry inside the model when viewed from these directions will be hidden. Note that some geometry will be left inside the model.

  1. Set the model into the desired projection.
  2. Select View | Limiting | Hide Inside.

Note

  • Restore the entire model's visibility by selecting Restore Hidden from the context-sensitive menu.
