Define and Save a View in the Project Document Browser

You can define and save a model view in the project document browser as follows:

  1. Activate the drawing window.
  2. Move the cursor over the Views heading in the document browser.
  3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  4. Select Add view.
  5. Enter a name for the view in the text box.
  6. Select the location of the view point.
  7. Click the viewing direction. The model window will activate and the model will be set in the defined view.
  8. If necessary, you can adjust the view by rotating or zooming the model.
  9. Select Confirm. The view is saved in the document browser under Views.

Note

  • The default values for the view point height, inclination and viewing angle are displayed in prompts on the status bar. You can change these default values as follows:
    • Before selecting the location of the view point, you can select its height (Z coordinate) and inclination (°) by clicking the Z button. Enter the values in the text box. Enter the Z coordinate relative to the floor base height.

    • Before selecting the viewing direction, you can select the viewing angle (°) by clicking the Angle button. Type the value in the text box.

  • If you select this function while the model window is active, the location of the viewing point and the viewing direction will not be defined. Before selecting the function, set the view in the model window to your liking.
