Documents Connected to the Project

You can connect a document created with another application to the project, for example an xls file.

Add a Connected Document

  1. Move the cursor on the Connected documents header in the document browser.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Add connected document.
  4. Select the folder and the file to be connected in the Windows Open dialog box.

The file will not be copied to the project folder. You can open the file by double-clicking its name in the document browser. If the file is moved, renamed or deleted, the reference to the file is not updated.

Import a Connected Document

  1. Move the cursor on the Connected documents header in the document browser.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Import connected document.
  4. Select the folder and the file to be connected in the Windows Open dialog box.

The file is copied to the project folder. You can open the file by double-clicking its name in the document browser.

Delete a Connected Document

You can delete a document connected to the project in the following way:

  1. Open the Connected documents branch in the document browser.
  2. Move the cursor over the document you want to delete.
  3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  4. Select Remove document.
