Rendering

Select the video settings in the dialog box.

Video quality: Presets
Select one of the standard resolutions of following color systems:
  • Full HD - resolution 1920x1080
  • HD - resolution 1280x720
  • NTSC DVD - resolution 720x480
  • NTSC SVCD - resolution 480x480
  • NTSC VCD - resolution 352x240
  • PAL DVD - resolution 720x576
  • PAL SVCD - resolution 480x576
  • PAL VCD - resolution 352x288
HD = high-definition
NTSC = an American color system
PAL = a European color system
VCD = Video CD
SVCD = Super Video CD
Resolution affects the size of the MPEG file: the larger the resolution, the bigger the file size is. When you want to create the movie clip as quickly as possible, select a small resolution.
Custom
Select the radio button when you want to use a resolution other than any of the standard resolutions when creating the movie clip. Define the resolution with the height and width of the frame.
Frame width, Height
Type the frame width and height as pixels in the text fields.
Keep aspect ratio
Select the check box when you want to set the resolution according to the aspect ratio. Select either of the following as the aspect ratio:
  • 4:3
  • 16:9
After selecting the aspect ratio, edit either the width or height of the frame.
Output file
Name of the movie clip file and directory. Click the Browse button to open the Windows Save As dialog box. The default file format is mp4. You can also save the file in AVI format by typing .avi as the file extension.
Keep Temporary Frame Files
When this check box is selected, the temporary PNG image files formed during the video creation are saved in the user/MovieTmp folder. It is possible to use the images in an external video making program.
Play when finished
Select the check box when you want to view the finished movie clip automatically. When the video file is ready, the program will start the application connected to the file extension in your operating system.
Camera travel speed
Select the travel speed from the list. The travel speed affects the length of the movie clip.
Rendering quality
Select the render method for the visualized image from the list.
  • Fast - Materials, lights and background are taken into account. The transparency will not be calculated.
  • Normal - Same as Fast, in addition the transparency is calculated.
  • Best - Same as Normal, in addition the sharp color differences are softened.
Rendering quality affects the size of the MPEG file: the higher the quality, the bigger the file size is. When you want to create the movie clip as quickly as possible, select Fast as the rendering quality.
Preview
Click the button to preview the video before creating it.
Create Movie
Click the button to create the video file. The program creates the rendered images and the video file. If you selected the check box Play when finished, the application connected to the file extension will automatically start up and you can view the video.
