Framed Text (2D)

Add a framed text.

  1. On the tab, in the Text group, click Framed Text.
  2. Type the text content in the Text dialog box, and select OK.

  3. Select the text properties. Text Properties
  4. Select the position of the text.
  5. Select Confirm.
Note:
  • You can add a frame to a text of Normal type in the drawing. Select the text, and the context-sensitive function Properties, and select in the text properties Framed.

    Text/Dimension Properties

  • Vertex G4: You can specify the line width and color of framed text and table text as desired in the draft keyword group with the keyword boxtext_pen= 0.25 299, where the first value is the line width and the second the color. If the color value is 0, the color is determined according to the text color. If the keyword has not been specified, the values of the keyword meas_pen will be used.
  • Vertex BD: You can add a table to a drawing by adding a framed text and using an inverted exclamation mark (¡) as the column separator. The table width is determined according to the keyword table_text_style in the draft keyword group. With the keyword table_text_style= 0, the table width is always determined according to the character width 1. When using a variable-width font, you can specify the table width to be more narrow in relation to the actual text width and character width 1 by setting the keyword table_text_style= 1. If the texts of adjacent cells overlap, add the required number of whitespace characters to the text.
