Moving Overlapping Texts

You can move texts in a drawing by arranging them in one row, one column or in an array with several rows and columns. The texts can be overlapping texts in a drawing, but you can also select other texts to be moved (not, however, component labels).

  1. Select Drafting | Text Move Overlapping Texts.
  2. Select the texts. Do one of the following:
    • Select several texts by holding down the Ctrl key.
    • Select texts by cropping an area.
  3. Select Confirm. The Text Types dialog box opens.
  4. Select the type of the moved texts in the dialog box.

    The Text Types Dialog Box

  5. Confirm by clicking OK. The Locate Texts dialog box opens.
  6. Select how the moved texts are to be arranged in the dialog box.

    The Locate Texts Dialog Box

  7. Confirm by clicking OK.
  8. Click a point where you wish to locate the texts. The top left corner of the text group is located at the point.

Note

  • You can move component labels either by their grip points or by using the Moving a Label Text function.
