Close an Edited Sub Model

Close a sub model that has been edited, and restore the changes made to it. The changes are restored to the main model from which the sub model has been opened for editing or to all main models to which the sub model has been added, in accordance with the method of editing you selected.

  1. Select Modeling | Zone | Sub Model > Close Edited Sub Model.
  2. Depending on the modifications you have made you will be prompted:
    • Material data is not up to date. Update?
    • Panel/part drawings and material data are not up to date. Update?

    When you select Yes, the sub model does not need to be updated during the up-to-dateness check, when you return to a higher level sub model or main model in the hierarchy.

  3. The Close Building dialog box opens. If you have not yet saved the changes, save the building by clicking Save. If you opened the building from the DesignStream system, choose whether to check-in the building to DesignStream, keep the building reserved, or uncheck the building in DesignStream.
