Storage Options When Closing a Building
Close an active building by selecting > Close Building or Archives | Buildings | Close.
Once you are logged in to Vertex Sync, you can push a building opened from Sync back to Sync.
First, select either of the following:
- Overwrite existing revision [revision number] - A new revision is not created in Sync. The revision number remains unchanged.
- Create a new revision - A new revision is created. The revisions are numbered according to the numbering system selected in the Sync service.
If necessary, enter a description of the changes in the Check-in comment field.
If necessary, select Create model for viewing in browser. A GLTF model is created of the building model. GLTF is a standardized data transfer format for 3D models shared in browser-based applications.
Select either of the following as the storage location:
- Push to Sync - If you want to change the revision option you selected or enter a check-in comment, click . The function opens the Sync to Sync dialog box.
- Keep as local building - The building will not be pushed to Vertex Sync. The building remains in the local workspace of the Sync service. Please note that the local workspace associated with the Sync service is different from the local archive, which is used to manage buildings when Sync is not in use.
Note: If a building has already been moved to Vertex Sync, the operation does not move the entire building again, but only the new and changed files are synchronized.
