Copy an Element to the Clipboard

Copy the selected elements on the clipboard by selecting the Copy function from the context-sensitive menu. This function will replace the content last copied on the clipboard.

Copy the elements.

  1. Select one or more elements.
    • Select the context-sensitive menu function Clipboard, Copy.
    • Press Ctrl+C.
  2. Select a reference point for pasting the element.

    Elements associatively added to elements are copied also, when you click the reference point. The Associative Elements Follow function is selected by default. Associative Elements Follow

Note

  • When clicking the reference point of a symbol, the cursor snaps to the reference point and position point of a symbol. A position point is the point, from which the symbol was located. If you have selected more than one symbol, the cursor snaps to reference points and position points of all selected symbols in the drawing.
  • If you don't select the reference point from the symbol, the default reference point is the position point, from which the symbol was located. If this point doesn't exist, the first reference point is the default reference point. If you have selected more than one symbol, the cursor snaps to the location point, left lower corner. The meaning of this point is described in the section Select Location Point.
  • You can paste the selected elements to any drawing by selecting the Paste function from the context-sensitive menu.
  • You can copy elements in the same drawing also by selecting the context-sensitive function Copy. Using this function, you can also select the location of the copy in the drawing.
