Pasting an Element from the Clipboard
Paste elements on the clipboard to an open drawing or a model by selecting the Paste function from the context-sensitive menu. Use the Cut or Copy functions in the context-sensitive menu to place elements onto the clipboard.
This function is not available if the clipboard is empty.
- Do either of the following:
- Select the context-sensitive menu function Paste.
- Press Ctrl+V.
- Select the location of the element.
- Do either of the followings:
- Stop using the function by pressing the Esc key.
- Accept the element position with the middle mouse button. The program shows a
question: Use the same location?
If you select Yes, as a position point of the element will be the same point as you selected previous time. You can use this option if you locate the same element on the different layer but you want to locate the element to the same position.
If you select No, using of the function is interrupted.
Note
- Before selecting a position for an element, you can define the layer on which they are placed. Elements can be placed on the original layer or a layer selected from the Layer menu on the contextual toolbar, and you can also shift the element layers.
