New Drawing
You can add a new drawing to the active project or to the general archive.
Active project
You can add to the active project either of the followings:
- New drawing number and sheet.
- A new sheet to the selected drawing number.
- You can also create a new drawing which is not added to any archives.
- We recommend to save the drawing to the project. Open a Project
Active project does not exist
If there is no active project, the drawing number is added to the general drawing archive, and the drawing sheet is added to the general sheet archive. Actual drawing file is stored to the general drawing folder.
New Drawing
- Select either of the following:
- Select and New Drawing. Add a new drawing or sheet.
- On the tab, in the Documents group, click New Drawing.
- Define the data in the New Drawing dialog box. New Drawing Data
- Define in the dialog box
- Name the drawing number. You can complement the drawing archive data by clicking the Drw Card button.
- When you enter the drawing number, the sheet number is automatically numbered if the
No
Sheet option is not selected.
You can complement archive data of the drawing sheet by clicking the Sht Card button.
- Save the drawing in the archive by selecting Add to archive.
- Select To project when you are creating a document to a specific project. Activate an old project by clicking the Select button, or create a new one by clicking the New button.
- Click OK. The window Select a drawing form opens. Select a drawing form
