Drag a Model to a Working Window
Import a Vertex 3D model into the working window by using the Drag and Drop method.
- Select Vertex, and Open File. Open a File
- The file type of the 3D model can be either m_ or vxm.
- You can open a 3D model in your computer's Windows Explorer by Dragging and Dropping it in Vertex.
Change the drawing method of a 3D Model
You can change the drawing method of the 3D model in the Vertex window.
- Select tab, in the Draft group.
- Draw the model OpenGL Shaded.
- Shading w/ Wire Frame Draw the model OpenGL Shaded with Wire Frame. The method makes handling the model lighter.
- Wire Frame Display the model as wireframe net.
- Hidden Lines (Ctrl+H). Hidden lines will not be drawn in the wire frame method.
Zoom a Model
You can zoom the model in the working window.
- Press Shift + left mouse button.
- At the same time, move the mouse:
- Down (towards yourself) - zoom out.
- Up (away from yourself) - zoom in.
- Quit zooming by releasing the key and mouse button.
Zooming with the Keyword Functions
- First move the cursor over the area you want to zoom.
- Press the keys:
- F6 to zoom in.
- F7 to zoom out
Rotate a Model
- Press Shift + left mouse button.
- Release the key/keys and press and still hold down the left mouse button.
- At the same time, move the mouse down, up, left and right.
- Stop rotating by releasing the mouse button.
