Open a File
- Select Vertex, and Open File.
- Open other file types than Vertex file (vxp).

Select Vertex, and select This software version. Converter missing from the list is an option.
- The default folder will be the active project folder, if a project is active.
- If no project is active, the common drawing folder picts will be the default folder.
- Press the Ctrl+I keys.
Select the file type:
- Vertex 2D Drawings (*.vxp)
- Vertex 3D Models (*.vxm)
- Vertex 2D Drawings (p_*)
- Vertex 3D Models (m_*)
- AutoCAD Drawings (*.dwg)
- DXF Files (*.dxf)
- Binary DXF Files (*.dxb)
- Design Web Format (*.dwf)
- IGES Files (*.igs)
- HPGL Images (*.hpgl, *.hgl)
- TIFF images (*.tif, *.tiff)
- JPEG Images (*,jpg, *jpeg)
- BMP Images (*.bmp)
- GIF Images (*.gif)
- PNG image (*.png)
Open a File Browser
- Select Vertex, and select Open File Browser.
- You can select one file at a time.
- Depending on the selected file type, make the following definitions:
- DWG file import settings.
- DXF file is converted as a DWG file. Define file import settings.
- Save the file opened in the working window as a Vertex document. Select Vertex menu, and select Save as New. Naming
Import Files with the Drag and Drop Method
You can import one or more Vertex files or files in other formats supported by Vertex by using the Drag and Drop method from your Windows Explorer. Make the necessary file import definitions, and the files will open in the workspace.
