Edit Line Properties in a Drawing Projection

You can define line properties in a drawing on the projection-specific.

Shape Line Properties

You can define – for each part or assembly specifically – what line will be used to draw the shape lines in the drawing's projection.

  1. Select a part or an assembly from the tree.
  2. Select the context-sensitive function Other Functions> Shape Line Properties in Drawings.
  3. Select the line properties from the contextual toolbar.
  4. Update the drawing.

Editing the Line Properties

You can edit the properties of one or more lines selected from a projection in a model drawing. Line properties are: layer, pen width, line font, scale, and color.

  1. Select one or more lines by pressing and holding the Ctrl key and left-clicking.
  2. Select the context-sensitive function Properties.
  3. Define the line properties in the dialog box. Line Properties
  4. Click OK.

Reference Part Line Properties

You can set the drawing to display surrounding parts, or reference parts.

Display Reference Parts in Drawing Projections

You can set the line to use to draw the reference parts in the drawing projection.

  1. In the reference part list, you can select the part whose line properties you want to edit.
  2. After the part selection, click the Drawing button.
  3. Select the line properties for the reference part.
  4. Do either of the following:
    • Accept by clicking the OK button. The parts will be drawn with the selected line properties.
    • You can restore the default line properties with the context-sensitive function Restore Defaults or by pressing F8.
  5. Finish by clicking the OK button in the dialog box.
