Assemly Item Data - Item Structure
Assembly archive data is copied into the item data. The item structure data comprises the part data and the non-modeled parts a.k.a. extra parts.
You can define or edit assembly item data as follows:
- When creating a new document.
- Select an assembly from the assembly tree and the context-sensitive function Item Data.
- Select the assembly from the assembly tree, the context-sensitive function Properties, and click the button Item Data.
When you click in the the field , field content can choose from the list of options.
Item Data
- Code
- Item label. Click the Label? button to define the item label. If the field is cleared, the assembly structure data cannot move to the item structure.
- Label - Table Model
- Table model item is automatically named with the prefix VAR and assembly label, for example - VAR-WheelAssy. For example, VAR-WheelAssy. You can complement the item label. As the table model structure data is the items, which is added to the model or to the configuration of the model.
- Transfer to Items
- Saves the assembly into an item in the Item Database.
- Edit
- Open the item to edit: Archive item data or Purchased Item Data.
- Description, shape, Unit, Number, Material, Quantity
- The contents of the Description field are collected from the document's archive data when you enter a name in the label field.
- Drawing, Model Labels
- This data is collected from the archive data of the model and the model drawing.
- Weight
- This field will contain the result of the program's weight calculation when you click the Calculate button. It is required that the weight of the parts of an assembly is calculated in each part model before selecting weight calculation of an assembly.
- Weight, Weighted
- This field will contain the product's weighed weight when the Weighed checkbox is selected and you fill in the weighed weight.
- Area, Factor
- This field will contain the result of the program's area calculation when you click the Calculate button.
- Purchasing Method
- Choose a purchasing method.
- Stored/Spare Part
- Defines stored or spare part as the item data.
- Classification
- This field contains the class that defines the model's classification. It can be a part, assembly or a class chosen from the item data. You can define the preselection data in item classes.
- Main Group
- The main class of product classification.
- Sub Group
- The subclass of product classification.
Item Structure
The item structure data comprises the part data and the non-modeled parts a.k.a. extra parts. Item structure data cannot be edited.
