Adding a WWW Component
Library
The software can utilize stock libraries assembled by component suppliers, importing parts and assemblies to the design system in STEP SAT and IGES formats. You can load a component from a Web page and save it in the component library of this software. You can then add the component to the assembly in the same way as you can add a part, and position it accurately in the assembly using geometric constraints.
Add the WWW component to the assembly as follows:
- Select the context-sensitive function Add > Component.
- Select a folder.
- Do either of the following:
- Select a thumbnail representing the component from the library by double-clicking it with the left mouse button.
- Import the new component by selecting the URL of the component supplier and downloading the component from the component supplier's homepage. Continue by saving the component in Vertex's component library.
- If necessary, rotate the component and/or change the insertion point.
- Select a position for the component by clicking, or select several positions if you wish to add more than one copy of the component in the assembly.
- Select Confirm.
