Edit Opening Trims
Architectural
You can add a trim set by using the Insert Opening Trims function, which will add a trim set around an opening or a combination of openings. You can edit a trim set by deleting, adding or editing single trims. You can use the functions only in the 3D model.
You can save the edited trim set in your own trim library, from which you can select it to be added around another opening. The program will add trims to the opening selected, stretching the trims to fit the size of the opening. Stretching the trims works best when the nominal length of the trims conforms to the dimensions of the opening - see Trim Parameters.
Once you have created a trim set around a combination of openings and saved it in your own library, you can add it to another combination of openings provided that the following conditions are met:
- The openings must not be the same size, but the order of the openings (for example, the large one on the left and the small one on the right) must be the same.
- The number of the openings must be the same.
- The number of steps between the openings must be the same, and the steps must be located on the same edge.
- If the openings in a combination of openings are located on different walls, the location of the walls in relation to each other must be the same.
Note
- You can model single trims to be added to openings - see Model Trim Pieces.
