Horizontal area by bottom plane
This function is used to select a single horizontal plane to be added. If this function is selected by default, the elevation of the bottom surface of the plane has a default value, which is defined in the building parameters. A new elevation value can be typed by clicking the function's button again. When the drawing window is active, the elevation is typed in a text box. The elevation is typed in relation to the base elevation of the floor, which is usually the same as the level of the floor's top surface. In the model window, the elevation of the bottom surface is defined by selecting a point or surface with the cursor or generic point snap functions. Wire frame can be selected as the initial method of representation of the model, in which case it is easier to select points of the model.
- Type the elevation of the bottom surface of the plane in the 2D drawing or select the elevation in the 3D model.
Note
- The next time the adding function for a horizontal structure is selected, the method used when previously adding the same structure type (floor, roof or ceiling), becomes the default adding method. Elevation typed for the plane with this function is not stored in the memory, but the default value is always used for the elevation of the bottom surface of the plane.
