Select an Object with the Cursor

With the program in the basic mode, select an object in the working window and perform a function on it. Select the object by clicking or by limiting an area, which will select all objects inside it. The appearance of the cursor near or over an object is as follows:

  • There are no objects of the locked object types inside the snap area of the cursor, but you can select objects by limiting an area:
  • You can select an object inside the snap area of the cursor: .

After selecting an editing function to be performed on an existing object from a button menu, select the object using the cursor. The appearance of the cursor near or over an object is as follows:

  • There is no suitable object inside the snap area of the cursor:

Select an object as follows:

  1. Move the cursor over the object. If you have selected marking objects before selecting them (General Drawing And Modeling Properties), the color of the object inside the snap area of the cursor will change.
  2. Click the left mouse button. The color of the selected object changes.
  3. If you want to select several objects, hold down the Ctrl key and click the objects with the left mouse button.

Note

  • You can select all objects of locked object types by pressing Ctrl+A.
  • The snap point of the cursor is at the tip of the arrow . The snap area of the cursor is larger than the snap point. You can define the snap area in relation to the cursor size (General Drawing And Modeling Properties).
