Add Insulation Freely

Select an insulation from the insulation library and place it freely in the desired location in the floor plan drawing or in the model.

  1. Select Modeling | Sheet | Sheet > Add Insulation.
  2. Select the insulation library and double-click the desired insulation in the browser.

You can first narrow your search results with the column filter function. Set a filter by typing a keyword in the filter field, or click the button and select a keyword from a list. For example, to filter only insulations of a certain size, type a keyword in the filter box in the Sheet code column. Press the Enter key to filter.

  3. Do either of the following:
    • If you selected an insulation material for which length and width dimensions are not given, select the corner points of the area and then select Confirm.
    • If you selected an insulation material that has been given dimensions, click the location of the insulation sheet. Before you click on a location, you can select auxiliary functions from the right-click menu, with which you can, for example, rotate the sheet or change the locating point.
Note: Use the insulation functions of framing when you want to add insulation to the framing layer of a floor or roof, or a floor or roof panel for which the common sheathing tool is set.
