Edit Building Parameters

Building parameters contain information required in the design work such as wall heights, floor thicknesses, etc. Parameters are divided into different parameter sets such as General Parameters, 1st Floor Parameters, etc. The parameter sets depend on the building's template and vary between customers. You can edit the parameters as follows:

  1. Open the building's document browser.
  2. Open Settings > Design settings.
  3. Double-click Building parameters.
  4. Edit the parameters in the Building Parameters dialog box.

  5. Confirm by clicking OK.
Note:
  • The program reads the parameters from the PARAMETERS file in the building folder. If you wish to add parameters to a building, open the PARAMETERS file for editing with a text editor. Add the name of the parameter and a value inside quotes in the file, for example:

    CORNER_TRIM_BOT "0"

    EXTWALL_END_CAP "SINGLE"

  • Many of the parameters defining the height positions of building components are calculated with a formula, which refers to the height levels of the building.
